yes, because trades unionism historically has predominantly been in favour of immigration control, in the UK at least, AFAIK.

As i say, someone needs to go and find out what the unions in the US were up to in the face of huge migration earlier in the 20th C and see if what they did offers some ideas/inspiration

The point isn't about whether or not people deserve to be able to cross borders (as individuals they do) it's about the fact you can't have a revolution in one country. The fewer barriers between different nations and cultures the greater the spread of the rev.!
