... and the Dresden Dolls version is too.
Clearly the Fugees version of No Woman No Cry dicks all over the Marley version.
Do you mean 'Hurt'? I like it but I don't think it beats the NIN version - knowing Trent felt those lyrics just makes it that bit better for me.
you are mental, no way. Do you like Abba?
Haven't heard it - will look out for it.
1000 homo DJs version of Supernaut was also top notch.
(Nativity in Black is my all time favourite album though, I think everything on it 10/10.)
camille's "guns of brixton"?
Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's 'Hurt', if it hasn't already been mentioned.
Cash obviously felt them quite deeply too though, otherwise he wouldn't have covered it & made such an amazingly emotional music video to go with it.
I like both oddly enough.
True but IMO he couldn't have felt them as deeply as the person who wrote them. If I remember correctly Trent was talking about his heroin addiction in that song.
St Etienne's version of Only Love can Break Your Heart is much better than Neil Youngs.
That's not better, it's exactly the same!
Quite looking forward to the album of covers he's doing.
But Mr.Cash was a drug crazed mentalist in his own time.
I agree with Fez909 It's the only version of Seven Nation Army that i play now. It's way better
Nouvelle Vagues covers are all
The Pastels Different Drum is a million times beter than Mike Nesmiths
Husker Du's Ticket to Ride
The Clash's Wrong 'Em Boyo
Sean Connery's In My Life
Mojo Nixon's Girlfriend In A Coma.
Each to their own - my idolatry of the WS precludes any cover versions
Glitter's Did You Miss Me done in an appropriately creepy pedo style by The Young Gods.
Faith No More's cover of War Pigs shits on the Sabbath version.
mind over money was surely by turin breaks?
or am i wrong?
Bang Bang remix dookies from a great height on the original meh Sinatra version.
Man who sold the world. Also I hear that the meat puppets originals were quite crap too compared to the unplugged one...
Also hendrix's cover of All Along the Watchtower is rather good
yeah fantastic. No one can get near Jimi and cover him
Deffo. Top version.
Also 'Nights in White Satin' by The Dickies and 'Jealous guy' by Roxy Music.
Separate names with a comma.
