Country

Did he write that one? (much too young to feel this old) I don't think he wrote the dance or friends in low places which you mentioned earlier. Good call on the Old 97's and I'd add Wayne Hancock. Hank III is generally shit but his last album is great.

Much too young to feel this damn old was written by both Garth and Randy Taylor. Love the sound. The Dance was written by a popular song writer in Nashville Called Tony Arata. Here he is performing The Dance

Ooh looky looky here. A wannabe music insider rebel. Listen I know
the country genre is some what broader than just steel guitars and whining men and a lot of that is due to people wanting to create something out of something. A performer dies and then years later he/she is hand picked and folks start to label him with cliches such "innovative", "Cool" and my favorite one "Pioneer" Don't get me wrong I appreciate some of his music but I'm not crazy about it. Did I mention Hank Williams? No, so you have no idea how I really feel about him. The list I gave was a very short list of all the country music I appreciate and I tend to gravitate towards more "traditional" (for lack of anyother word) sounding country be it by the old guys or their later contemporaries like Alan Jackson or George Strait.

self-aggrandising little tit, aren't you?
