My issues have issues
I think that's spot on. Funnily enough I still cant find any articles about the connection... (hint hint)

Like Music Row in Nashville involved or just in the general business?
That must have been wild.
How can you say that? He was shredding the fuck out of that axe!
Country, I want to hear more country!!!
Oh he's cute and all that and there are a few tunes I like, but I'm really not into him. Check out Jack Ingram. The real country purists don't like him they think he's too "rocky". But I like his style when I'm in the mood.
Measure of a man accoustic
He's easy on the eye in a toy boy sort of way.

Yeah ok Keith Urban is cute, you're right he is. Heck yeah he's not bad, I'd do him!!

on a related note, have you heard the two Dirty Laundry albums? Soul greats doing country classics - fucking marvellous
Hmmm ok...prolly explains the attraction to Keith Urban. Not very good vid. Did you see him in concert?

Not much Nashville, Unless you count dating a drummer who was with one of countries biggest stars
More like LA and waaaay to wild.

I have seen him in concert during my lifetime yeah.
OOooohhh, those drummers can be bad news!
But yeah that counts.
Got the first one with Bobby Womack on a horse on the cover and it's well good.
I didn't know there was a second one............
They all have big wandering dicks but not much else. Still it was good while it lasted. *she says wistfully*

That they do dat, that.they.do...Personally though, I would change the wistfully to thankfully.![]()

I have a blog... not strictly musical but a little dis n dat. I'm trying to come up with something about Blacks in country music. I started a thread on a popular forum that turned into a heated 10 page thread...on account of a lot of rednecks giving their tuppence worth and getting very defensive.
Anywho, here are a few black artists trying to crack the market.
Darius Rucker has done quite, you might remember him from Hootie and the Blow fish, still the girls aren't creamin' their panties they way they do over Tim McGraw and all the rest.... that's a whole 'nother story in it's self.
Rissi Palmer doesn't get the air play she should....and I listen two a couple of US country music stations on line

What? Cos he supported McCain?Poor cowboy Troy....a dumb house negro that allowed himself to be used as a gimmick.
thanks - interesting - sentimental music - i like thatYou might find this interesting Not quite Jamaica but Africa.
thanks - really want to hear this
thanks for that tooon a related note, have you heard the two Dirty Laundry albums? Soul greats doing country classics - fucking marvellous
thanks for nothing!
thanks for nothing!

I'll refrain from posting a Big & Rich link.

This is a few years ago but I'm hoping someone may still be active here. I'm wanting Caribbean immigrants and their children to fill out a survey regarding American country music. I am undertaking research for a dissertation. I would appreciate it if someone could get in touch. Regards JudyThanks for that. I brought this up cos I have a friend, a slightly older guy, who confessed a secret love of country and reggae - the company he keeps aren't down with either!
Anyhow, Im going to get him to do a compilation of his favourite country back to back with reggae and stick it up on the radio/mixes forum - I'll pass on the names you mention and see if it rings bells with him.
EDIT: I say reggae, but I think he likes earlier stuff - rocksteady, ska etc.
