Brixton Iceland yesterday

I just Googled my local Iceland to see if they were doing the offer and I ended up on a review site.

I had never been to Iceland before last Christmas when I proper fancied some of those prawny skewer things that Kerry Katona lady was eating on the advert, so I went in, and I haven't looked back since. I am pretty much an Iceland convert. Not for everything, and in fact, only for a few select items, like their Deluxe Banoffi Cheesecake (£3), or their Garlic Bread Baguettes (2 for £1 - and oh my god this is the best, most buttery and juicy garlic bread you'll ever eat), or for Quorn mince. I like how all the frozen food is in multiples of a pound. It makes adding up easier.

Although there aren't many tills, I've never been here when it's been very busy, so haven't had to queue for long even with one till open. The store itself is clean and well stocked, and I like the layout.

I also like that it is next door to a massive Netto.
:D

Fucksake! - Funny Feet used to make me barf copiously as a child. what on earth do they put in their ice cream!

Also interesting to note - Yesterday a colleague handed me a Cadburys "Cornetto" and it was a revelation - the ice cream was of far better quality than the current Cornettos - More like you used to get in them twenty-odd years ago! :D

I went to iceland and bought 4 for a quid (classico). They were shit. Seemed much smaller (maybe the nostalgia effect, but I don't think so), and the ice cream was rubbish.

For 25p you can't complain too much though, so I'll stop there.

The Iceland own brand Magnumesque ones are pretty good. 'Peter' talks about them while he's on the bus in his advert.

When you go to Spain on holiday their ice cream selection kicks ours into the English Channel. Mental animals, with crazy flavours and all sorts of sweets for the eyes, noses and buttons. The cornettos are bigger, better and more weighty, and contain several flavours in one ice cream, with chocolate tops, strawberries in the middle and a double whammy of chocolate, and chocolate goo at the bottom of the cone. As a kid, I never wanted to come back to England with it's shitty 99's, with OOOOo! Rasberry sauce! Pfff...

Tell me about this new honeycomb flavour. I've seen it advertised but it's ne'er in the shop freezer. The big tease.
