I knew there'd be trouble if you turned up here

I clicked on that link and ended up buying an Herringbone Harris Tweed skirt

not what I wanted but I convinced myself I needed it!

I have been to the Tin House but didn't know about Old Town.

Not exactly designer, but Uniqlo have some nice stretch cord trews in lots of colours....

I clicked on the link thanks, and found dark green corduroy jeans but I can't find anywhere that gives details of the fabric. Do they not give details or am I being a bit dim not being able to find it?

Fuck this! I was waering cords when they were unfashinable. The same applies for vests. These new pretenders make me sick.

You can order online (which is what I do with Uniqlo) although obviously then you can't try stuff on (and I've bought three pairs of jeans in the same size that are all a completely different size/fit when I've tried them on ) and they don't do free returns.

Different styles/cuts fit very differently there, ime. I just tried on some skinny ankle length jeans that were so low cut on me they were practically indecent. Their straight-leg ones are much better.
