When I went past the other day, all that was left was the doorway and the sign above it with the "372" number - has that gone too?

It's still there but I couldn't get in to take a picture.

I missed this but a new planning permission was put in for the Voice / Cooltan buildings over Christmas. Rather than the insane 13 storey idea the developers had last time they've settled for a slightly less insane but still quite tall 5/7 storey block of flats.

It's the same social housing group (Places for People) as before - 155 flats! Add that and the bankrupt building site next door and you have a serous number of new flats on that strech of Coldharbour Lane.

Anyone know any more about this?

Places for People isn't really a "social housing group" anymore, there was an article in in side housing magazine back in january where they were in negociations with the housing corporation over seeking money on the stock investments, probably in the form of REITS, real investment trusts.

privatisation by the back door.
