In Bloom

Joyless and full of hate
It has to be Ozymandias, he wiped out half of New York using a giant psychic octopus. And he did it right, without getting caught or killed, unlike some of the other contestants :p

His heart was in the right place thou. So not really a "villian."

He was Machiavellian, amoral and brutal. How much more villainous do you want? :p

Besides, he acts as an antagonist to the key characters in Watchmen, he's the closest thing the book has to a traditional villain, and you've got to have something from Watchmen in there, just because it is so totally Japanese

He's not that amoral. And not really that brutal...

I'd reckon that Rorscach is a much nastier peice of work.

Watchmen doesn't really have a traditional villian really - but maybe thats the point.

Bur.

Heh. :)

He's the very definition of amoral, he doesn't care how his ends are achieved, merely what the ends are. He could be described as ethical, from a utilitarian point of view, but not moral :p

And as for brutal, did you read Watchmen? He murdered millions of innocent bystanders in a horriffic way, he gave an indeterminate (but apparently large) number of people fatal tumours, he smashed a guy's face in and then forcefed him a cyanide capsule. Not very nice ;)

I'd reckon that Rorscach is a much nastier peice of work.
I happen to disagree, Rorsharch is a violent lunatic with delusions of grandeur, but at least he never entered into the kind of insane "end justifies the means" logic that Ozymandias did. Anyway, Ozymandias lost (possibly because people are stupid), so it no longer matters

Watchmen doesn't really have a traditional villian really - but maybe thats the point.
Well, quite, but as I say, it's too fucking cool not to include in any thread where the opportunity arises ;)

where the fuck is the joker? or lex luthor or..........

so many missing :(

sorry rubbish poll...... :p

Only the Joker would vaguely qualify as being a supervillian.

I think some rules are needed as to what makes someone one of them ie. powers.
