Cooking a Chicken

I never do, but why is that? You can cook red meat from frozen ok.

I expect pogo will be along to name the exact bug, but int it salmonella? You can cook red meat from frozen as far as I know, but not white meat

I wouldn't cook any meat from frozen though, just in case
 
Salmonella is the main problem with chicken, but other pathogens are available.

The rule is, you can cook any meat from frozen if in small portions (chicken breasts, pork chops etc) so long as you cook thoroughly, but not large roasts. A whole chicken is a large roast, but so is a leg of lamb etc. The reason is the one given above.
