First off, I am aware no one cares about this. It's just a bit of fun right?
For two weeks in June (14th-28th I believe) South Africa, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Iraq, the USA and New Zealand will compete for this innocuous trophy.
Who will win? Who cares?
Anyway. As someone with a lot of time on their hands and a slightly worrying ability to watch any form of football no matter how poor quality or short in duration I was glad to see that the BBC will be showing every match (I think). Buuuuut only on BBC3 and the *frigging* RED button.
Being one of the few people not to have access to BBC 3 I was hoping they would show it online on their website but it seems they aren't. Maybe they will change their minds but at the moment there's no mention of it. What are the odds of them putting it on iPlayer?
.. and its a bit of a long shot but i guess this could become the general discussion thread for the tourny. Who knows - this could be the year the confederations cup becomes a la mode....
