Compilation of 'OK Computer' covers by US indie types

Sunspots

what's my mission now?...
It's not The Easy Star All-Stars or Mark Ronson, but maybe some of you might like this...

Not really my kind of thing tbh (-I've never actually heard OK Computer in it's entirety), although I do like Marissa Nadler's woozy version of No Surprises.

All free and (-apparently) legal mp3s.

That's a terrific song so it would be pretty hard to fuck up even as a cover

What is the Radiodread one like? saw an add for it live recently
Pretty cack. Apart from Let Down with toots & the maytals, which is an absolute standout track.

Dub side of the moon was much better - they had fun with the arrangements and it actually sounded like reggae. Radiodread sticks too closely to the orginal and just sounds turgid.

That's pretty close to what I said upon giving it a few liostens - on Radiodread the guitar parts sound pretty much identical to the original! :(

Am going to see 'em next week at Jazz Cafe though - they've gotta do some of 'dubside...' too :D

Ordered Mr Hopkinson's Computer's album from ebay - is a bit of fun but doesn't hold up too well to repeated listens.

I tend to agree, though I think his version of Where Is My Mind? has stood up rather well over the years. :)

Yeah, that and the ODB track are two of the stand outs. Saw him supporting Nathan Fake a while back - quite amusing to have the computer set up on stage alone, with pre-recorded inbetween song banter as well :)
