Companies to Boycott once this is over

If I have understood this correctly (I didn't read /hear the actual item, but the gist of it was repeated to me ...

Dyson
was asked to build ventilators / respirators ...
he said no. not until I've designed a better one !

Tim Martin was a cunt before all this

and ffs Amazon how much tax have these wanker paid whilst destroying the high street over the last few years
Plus generally having horrible working practices

they should be boycotted because they are cunts not boycotted for acting to type during this period

Forrest Stores in Chiddingfold. A small village with many pensioners who have trouble getting to other villages or towns, this store is now selling 9 bog rolls for £19 and has slapped a fiver on the cost of a large pack of baccy.

There is a second store in the village and they have not been gouging. Forrest Stores are currently being boycotted and can’t see the greedy fuckers surviving, small village, people won’t forget once this is over...

We've boycotted Amazon for almost a year now, but boycotting Wetherspoons here would be ...... personally harder for us to stick to ... :(

Easy right now mind :p

I know why we should boycott them, but try living in an absolute beer desert of a city where two out of the four ale-friendly pubs in the city centre (that's very near where we live) are Spoons :(

I guess we can focus on the other two decent pubs for the time being, once some sort of normality returns, those two, the non-Spoons ones, are both Free Houses at least :)
I'm honest enough to admit though that for us, a permanent Spoons boycott is unlikely to happen ...... we're not that hard up ourselves, but a fair few of our friends are.

<ETA : I've now just edited part of the above to clarify  >

Going off on tangent here cos it's praise and he isn't a business (well he sort of it) but fair play to that joe wicks. My other half and daughter are doing his exercise class thing every morning and both look forward to it lots, bbc news says there are a million households tuning in, so fair fucks

reading about him growing up with smack addict dad, struggling mum, on a terrible diet, all pushing him towards this super healthy lifestyle as a survival strategy .... if this sh*tstorm was going to be the making of one of these instragram / socials cats, deffo not unhappy it was him ( jack munro still does my swede in )

Didn't know that. Fair play. Tbh vaguely knew the name cos OH has a book of his but hadn't really paid him much attention until this week, what he's doing seems nice and helpful

Don't be fooled by the Free House part of the name they are still part of the chain

nothing against particular spoons some of the staff are great and offer good service to the local communities and keep pubs open on the high street

shame it owned by a bell end really

they don't franchise so no truly independent spoons

I never claimed anything different! The "Free Houses" I refered are the two non-Spoons in town.
But I've just edited my previous post to clarify and avoid ambiguity :)

Someone should smash their windows. Mrs Spy got an upset call from her mum today saying that her 79 year old dad tried to hit a grocer in Southall with his walking stick for putting onions up by 50p a kilo.

Any pub not tied to a brewery is a free house

Boycotts aren't supposed to be easy are they? I guess you could say I've been boycotting wetherspoons for years, but really I've not had any cause to go in one so I won't.

Fair enough, I'm not saying anything different to the bolded bit above.
Boycotting Amazon has been inconvenient at points, but we stick to that.
I can now see us avoiding Wetherspoons more (we were discussing it earlier as it goes) but permanently staying away?
I'm honest enough not to make any promises.

Hey i might make a point when they reopen as tim likes to drop into them a few times weekly

calling him a cunt to his face could be an added bonus of a cheap breakfast

I'd not prowl , but my folks occasionally like a spoons breakfast so take them out from time to time

if he happened to pass by might get a sausage launch at him followed by "you Cunt"

:)

AirBnB have been crap by all accounts, not doing much to help out people stranded in foreign places or needing to cancel upcoming reservations.
