Companies That Don't Send Rejection Letters

I got told at my last interview that I'd made it through to the next stage and they'd be contacting me for a second interview in the next couple of weeks. It was a november start date, so I'm fairly certain they just fed me a pack of lies at the interview and I didn't get it (which was good, actually, salary was worse than terrible).

I think not acknowledging receipt of applications or sending rejection letters is just plain rude, and also says a lot about how the company treats their employees.

although for all my moaning and bitterness, i just got a phone call saying i have an interview for a job i like *really* want! it's next wednesday!
