comic relief

I think they should have gone for more Radio 4 types. Fred MacCauley, Barry Cryer, Nicolas Parsons perhaps. Jo Brand seems a bit Radio 2 or telly. Linda Smith and Hump would have been ideal but are sadly gone.....Charlotte Green being very funny doing continuity would have been good and all.

In the past they've swapped panelists and shows around for CR. Would have been great to see the Clue gang on a CR HIGNFY or something

The special Doctor Who episode was in fact a special Sarah Jane Smith episode and they name-checked Ealing MORE THAN ONCE.
That's because it was originally filmed in Ealing at the Old Ealing Studios. Of course they occasionally filmed in chalk pits in the Home Counties with Cybermen. I know these things. Admittedly Tom Baker (unless John Pertwee came later) was the last incarnation I saw on the box and I remember William Hartnell and all.

The Doctor was too busy cheating at Mastermind

Tennent knows more about Doctor Who than Davina did about Big Brother (both types ;) )
:D at the idea of William Hartnell's Doctor's last words being "I'm a bit knackerd"

Trying not to moan to much about the most annoying aspect of Comic Relief on TV -- the ultra moronic wooing and waaing every two minutes of the braindead sleb-fixated zombies in the studio audience

I dropped some money in buckets at Sainsburys earlier, otherwise the TV is making me VERY glad we're going out now! Phew ....

I thought the French and Saunders thing was really good.:D

I thought it was the unfunniest thing I've seen in a long time. No wonder it was their last ever sketch if it was indicative of the quality of stuff they are capable of churning out these days!

I have to say fair do to the lot who's climbed the Kilimanjaro. No small feat.

Fair play to them but more to the point lucky bastards. I wish someone would give me the opportunity to try and do summat like that, full support to achieve an extraordinary feat and getting to raise money for charity at the same time... Wow. Obviously i wouldn't want to do it with Gary Barlow, Fearne Cotton and Chris Moyles. That would be awful.

Aww I would. Gary is so sweet and I know everyone hates Chris Moyles but I think he's quite funny (yes he's a complete twat sometimes) and actually seems to be quite a nice bloke.

I'm suprised Gary Barlow could be seperated from a piano long enough to go up Kilamanjaro the tubby, gurning, crooning prat.

I'm ignoring your Moyles comments.

what this thing where you text in yes and somebody gives 5 quid to comic relief, do they then take you phone number and sell it on (like U2 did)?

who is giving the 5 quid?
