Si on veut bien parler francais ca devient plus facile quand on regarde les DVDs en francais, one lit en francais, ecoute en francais et parle (n'import avec combien d'erreurs) en francais jusqu'a ce qu'on pense en francais. Quand meme, tu auras un accent tres legerment Belge.*
*Basically, if you want to speak a language well, you need to get as much exposure and use as possible. Even then, even when you can do consecutive interpreting, you can expect native french speakers to tell you that you've got a slight Belgian accent (and they stereotype the Belgians as being boring, unsexy and pretty dim).
IMHO conversational French would be better for making you think on your feet in the language than a course, but beware of picking up the bad habits of the French speaker you practise with. There should be a few native French students (usually 2nd or 3rd year) at Hull uni once term starts again, and they're likely to be pretty lonely.
