I adore homemade, but – much as I try – I just can't make mayo. Even if I'm really, really slow with the oil.

I can't stand most of the factory brands. Hellman's is like paint stripper.

I would rather grate the cabbage and the carrots myself

carrot salad for miss daisy

I can remember when I was a nipper, having grated carrot ..er salad(?) and it was like it was soaked in something like a dressing, you wouldnt happen to know what to add to grated carrot to make it taste oh so yummy and it really enhanced the sweetness of the carrots, Ta

I know!My auntie makes carrot salad like that and this is how...

3tbsp olive oil
1tbsp cider vinegar
1tsp tahini
1tsp whole grain mustard

all mixed together and tossed with the carrot, oh and if you want you can toast pumpkin and sunflower seeds in soya sauce and throw them in aswell.
