Cole to Chelsea, Gallas to Arsenal

typical chelsea bollocks.

"ooh, ooh, yeah, say he was seen buying a pink frilly shirt in miss selfridge! yeah! good one peter!"

:D

Could be either though couldn't it. I could believe 'rich football club that thinks it can do what it likes makes up slur' just as easily as 'prima donna footballer throws temper tantrum and threatens to sulk.'

The whole think stinks.

They're saying that he refused to play simply because he wanted more money, but Chelsea are more than rich enough to punish Gallas by sending him to the reserves for the rest of his contract and as far as I understand Gallas took a pay cut when he went to Arsenal (at least compared to the deal that Arsenal put on the table).

But beyond that for Chelsea to be getting on their high horse and accusing players of being money-grabbers is so hypocritical as to be ludicrous.

I reckon they know they got done by Arsenal over the Cole deal and are trying to slap them down a rung. Everyone knows Arsenal's guiding principle in the transfer window was not to be bossed about by the biggest clubs now that they have moved into their new stadium. They wanted to send out a signal that they were on a level footing with Real and Chelsea.

So Chelsea try and undermine that by implying that Arsenal have got their hands on an irresponsible, unprofessional golddigger of a player. While they of course acquired the pinnacle of ascetic moral virtue in Cashley.

I've not really been following it but I had a look at the BBC sports stuff and it just seemed to be Chelsea moaning cos Gallas said he wanted to leave, and then didn't turn up for training.

Then they used him as a makeweight in the cashley saga and now seem to have decided to weigh in with a few slurs.

What's Gallas been saying?

And how did cashley push for his transfer from arsenal? What were his tactics?

Hard to say really. I think they've both basically been sulking and throwing strops.

I did read Gallas wanted nearly as much money as Henry to move to Arsenal.

Not really any sympathetic characters in the whole business are there?

nope. not really. :(

Altho any sympathies I do have aren't with cole, or chelsea. ;)

Not that they care I imagine.

Gallas is right in one thing over all of this....Chelski just do not have any class.

Agreed....can't believe anything coming out of stamford bridge....not as if Mourhino and his cohorts have ever showed any dignity before in defeat...like a spoilt kid spitting the dummy

"I am surprised and shocked by these remarks.

"I never said that I would score an own goal. I was very firm in my will to leave, that is clear, and I will explain at the appropriate time why.

"If people want to hide behind these eccentric charges to explain my departure instead of assuming their responsibilities in front of their supporters, then they can do.

"All this is very, very petty on behalf of Chelsea. But at the same time, coming on behalf of its new leaders, that does not surprise me. Even if Chelsea has much money, its new leaders lack class."

hear hear William.

The statement from Chav$ki is very Jose-orientated. He wrote it himself in a moment of Special One-ness thinking that he would have the final revenge on a player who had the audacity to 'disrespect the family'.

Chelsea seems more of a weird cult than a family from where I'm standing.

Or he thinks he's The Godfather.....

How long will cole stick it at chelsea before he starts missing matches through fake injuries and has to be summoned back by jose, ala robben.

Trophies heal injuries, imagined or not. ;)

Anyone else thinking how much of a complete prick Cole is coming across as with this 'it's not about money, it's about respect' (although 'respect' obviously comes in the form of money) shit? He's so deluded he thinks it makes him look all reasonable and wronged.

Well cole seemed to think it was the other way round, his reason for joining chelsea was apparently their camaraderie and team spirit. Surely only the most petulent of gits would suggest money had anything to do with it?
