I'm chuffed if they have split up - but they're such milksops - what on earth could they have been arguing about? Who drank all the lapsang souchong?

Maybe this is because of Chris's new interest in techno? He has just made a track with Kirk DiGeorgio after all.

Apparently, it was partly to do with Chris being caught using a non-biodegradable cleaning product to remove his edgy felt tip pen statements from his hands. There were also accusations of his using ORIGINAL swarfega, after a particularly troublesome statement refused to yield to his previously worthy, environmentally friendly scrubbings. A pumice stone was rumoured to have been thrown in anger at the indignant singer by the outraged bass player, fuckknowshisname.

Re: the worrying techno news, is the connection here that Coldplay's A&R at Parlophone is Dan Keeling, who jointly owns and records with DeGeorgio on the New Religion label?

Even if they had split up it would have been far too late, the damage has been done - if they'd announced they were going to split up, buy up every copy of their recordings and destroy them, then travel back in time and fix things so that'd they'd never be born to record any music, that'd be a bit more like it...
