well i downloaded a couple of those gloomcasts and one was quite bleepy, but bleeps with depth. and now i've downloaded another and it seems less bleepy, much slower (but I only got to listen to a minute before the PC froze). which is what i imagined drone to be like.

It's not would I'd normally seek out but it's about time I made an effort with something else. I'm adult and boring enough not to let a new genre consume and destroy who I am, so there's nothing to worry about. I'll continue this musical journey. Thank you.

Y'know something...

for some reason, I've never really got into coil. don't know quite why as loads of my mates adore them. Got few of their LPs , seen them a few times but there's just something about them that's never got the steam rising from my pants.

there's just something about all their stuff that sounds a bit 'gothy' to me.

same with Current 93. tho ive only heard a few of their lps too. don't like Tibet's whiney voice. and he dresses like a dick.

Nurse With Wound are sort of the same, though I do think some of their early stuff is brilliant. think i've only got a few of their LPs on unityed dairies tho. plus their cover of jac berrocal Rock'N Roll Station which is cool.

also lots of folk who are into the above three always seem to be into Death in june and all that wank which is just a load of pish and another reason i probably don't like coil much. i dunno. maybe i should give them chance and just need to hear more of them. if anyone knows where to download their LPs pls let me know so I can bang em onto my iPod.

that's always a pisser but lots of people - Coil included - have completely disowned / condemned the whole Death In June / Sol Invictus etc dark folk scene for being a load of fascist claptrap
