disappointed you hadnt summoned me about the britney and justin timberlake video Grateful Dead are great i reckon...sounding good after a hard week....a nice place to go sometimes for sure..... ETA: giving the rest of the album a play - seems to be a chilled record in the same vein Spoiler: BLUES FOR ALLAH
some of it's a bit west coast for my tastes, but there's some good stuff on there (I got a cassette of it the other day and it's been on in the car)
This year's Spanish eurovision entry. I think it's about putting the bins out (when it's not even your turn). Spoiler
Genuinely ace cod reggae (or more accurately reggae influenced) music from Somalia...70s era id guess the one at 2.50 is a good example but the one at 20.20 mins even better still, as it has a one drop beat as well as the skank chops. (littleseb)
Very nice...But it could do with a little pepping up from a jobbing brass-for-hire session crew - for want of a name let's call them The Horns Of Africa
Absolutely class tune, released when I was about 15 or 16. It lulled me into thinking UB40 were destined to be a great band. Did they make another good record? Probably not. Double A side with something called 'King' is my memory. Thanks for the memory.
Guy Clark - Voila, An American Dream. Cover of the Rodney Crowell tune with significantly higher cod quotient. Spoiler
That sounds like something a suburban serial killer would play to mask the screams and basement excavations and then would ultimately be his undoing.
got to defend Huey there - isnt the song saying the worlds fucked but keep dreaming? Not really reformist, more maintaining idealism in the face of a brutal reality.
