Coco Pops

I have inflammation of the epididymis. It's harmless and is going away quite quickly but was quite uncomfortable and scary as fuck for a while.

I might dip my nob in some cereal anyway though, just for kicks.

Really? I'd say Jordans is way more Middle Class.

Porridge has become middle class now too. It's done a full u-turn.

Clusters are basically a copy of Jordans Country Crisp though, and everything Jordans makes is middle-class.

Porridge... hmm... it's still up in the air, that one, it's not completely grounded. Ready Brek is working class. Organic rolled oats etc are middle class. A lot of it would depend on what you put in it as well.

Yeah,

Honey and raisins: Middle Class

Golden Syrup: Working class

I still think it's come back in vogue with the bourgoissssie.

Um..... can I just point out that we didn't actually have gruel!

Just normal porridge or cornflakes or weetabix or museli - just none of the sugary expensive stuff!

Also I used to think the different types of porridge were bollocks, that porridge was porridge, but actually, Ready Brek is pretty fucking rank.

It's acceptable now - I think that's post-muesli. The fact that it's just oats doesn't imply that you're a pauper any more.

When I was growing up I don't think my family would have thought of porridge (I didn't even know what Ready Brek was for ages, apart from that it made you glow) but they wouldn't have been opposed to the concept. In fact if it hadn't been the case that we would have whinged and refused to eat it because it didn't have sugar in it and didn't make the milk taste nice, I imagine they would have been happy to serve it up for breakfast because it's so cheap. I eat it for breakfast now myself.

we used to have porridge. it's quite nice having hot cereal when it's cold, you need lots of sugar in it tho
