Cocktails for Beginners

I've one called the ginger ninja, it's stone's ginger wine, whiskey, white rum topped up with ginger ale and with a piece of crystalized ginger in the bottom. Rimmed with ginger flavoured sugar (sugar that's been left in a sealed jar with a few pieces of fresh ginger for months)

This cocktail ruined my life exactly two years ago

That sounds fucking lush

the second one's much better, shaken over ice. i had thought about it with the first lot but, er, didn't. cheers idaho, my New Best Friend.
Ice is the key. I like to keep at least one of those big bags of ice in the freezer

Except when it is too full of the kids' chips and fish fingers

I invented a cocktail last night:

vodka, creme de mure and sweetened pomegranate juice drink (Rubicon).

tis called a "Bunker" (cos that's what we call our dingy flat).

The creme de mure was one of many half bottles of spirit at least 25 years old that my mum gave me from her drinks cabinet when the moved house. But it didn't appear to have gone off (we made monkeygrinder's brother drink some) so we used it anyway.

I thought it was nice. Monkeygrinder wasn't convinced, and everyone else drank it, so I reckon that's a win.:D

We had Bellinis last night when we got back from the restaurant.

Gin, strawberry liqueur, pureed strawberries and cava. Yummy.
It was very messy. When we ran out of gin and couldn't be arsed to puree strawbs it was just cava and liqueur.

This is also what me and madamv got trollied on at endorse-it (amongst other things).

Another vote for Mojitos too, strong and very refreshing.:)
