there is one on brixton road where you would get off the bus, if you were walking to oval station.

and another just along from oval station, on the road to stockwell.

Or in the narrow arcade in the market that goes between Electric Lane and Brixton road there's a lovely Ethiopian woman who does repairs / tailoring very cheaply.

The dry cleaners on Acre Lane opposite the Lambeth Town Hall does fantastic alterations/repairs. I took a pair of trousers there last week that needed the waist taking in and they did a beautiful invisible job and charged £5.50 for it. I was gobsmacked at what great service it was...
