clothes other people wear that you like the look of

When's the last time you looked at your own arse? Hmmm? Be honest now :D I try to avoid looking at mine at all if I can help it but elasticated trousers make me look at least 2 sizes bigger :(

Maybe it depends what they're made of, and how the waist is constructed.

Anyway, like I said.. I can't afford £hundreds for a pair of made to measure trousers, so I'll have to look like I'm wearing a nappy.

You didn't look like you we wearing a nappy when I saw you - I'm only being silly

eta - you were wearing a dress weren't you? Doh!

start wearing these things again ladies:mad:

Whatever happened to figure hugging velvet dresses?

Probably a good thing though as i was putty in the hands of any girl wearing one of them. Give you all my money? Ok sure!

When I was in Croatia Valentino, the fashion designer, moored his enormous boat on the coast of Hvar and we saw him one night.
he - and his entourage of very similar looking guys to himself - were all wearing pastel coloured jumpers over their shoulders with white or very pale trousers, deck shoes, loafers etc. and they all had perfect white hair, mental suntans and plastic surgery that made them look permanently startled.

They looked like a catamitic mafia. Fuckin' cool look though. :)

I also like that timeless 'Murphy man' look: battered stripey suit with flared trousers. workboots. vest. wooly hat. you still get lots of characters staggering about archway dressed like that. A good thing me-thinks.

Pencil skirts :(

I've always wanted to wear a pencil skirt but I just don't have the right shape for them. Or any skirt that comes above the knee. Or to mid-calf-length. I have stubby legs :(

I like men in jeans and short-sleeved t-shirts over long-sleeved t-shirts. Used to see it a lot in the 90s, not so much now. I just like the look.

I had an utterly gorgeous red velvet dress once. Then I got into a fight and this girl threw a glass of coke all over it.

Jane Birkins daughter Lou Doillon always looks cool, kind of chic but effortless.

I've still got mine. It hangs in the wardrobe as a reminder of who I used to be. It has a sweetheart neck and the hem ends at the thigh. It's a size 12. I'm a size 20 now.
My husband wore it to a new years eve party a couple of years ago :D
