still saying stuff about attempting to reach the site of the proposed runway. Maybe this isn't complete nonsense.

also mentioned a 'heavy police presence' at BAA HQ, but unlike news.bbc.co.uk it didn't say that protesters were trying to get there.

(note: presumably this means the camps own medics as opposed to NHS paramedics.)

Phone Call from CAMP..

There is a serious unease as people feel the police are going to attack the camp and the indymedia tent we are trying to get images out and more reports..

likewise it spooked me and i hope this is parnoia but i have been haveing hassels at this end strange noises on the phone eletronic noise over the player sometimes it mixes into public image that one is playing i asked was everone allright yes we are cool

There is a proposal to build something in a location guaranteed to piss people off a start a huge protest.
(The people proposing the building project have no intention of building it in that location at all.)
Years of protest, campaigning and a public inquiry, and the project gets built where the people proposing the development wanted it built in the first place.
As stated elsewhere the already over-crowded sky around Heathrow means a third runway there would be a waste of concrete.

So what are they proposing then if not a runway?

18:56 The kids march has arrived at the BAA headquarters and has been pushed into a carpark on the side of the building were they are now loosely surrounded by normal police officers (yellow coats). Rinky Dink and Bicycology are present with music and there is a good atmosphere. Over 300 people are in the car park and 150-200 police are present. A second smaller group is still penned in by the police on another side of the building.
