Cleaning tea/coffee stains off cups?

Metal scourer and hard scrubbing if I feel energetic. Bleach if I am feelilng lazy.

The teapot usually needs both.

Washing soda crystals will do it very simply and safely. They are cheap and can be used for lots of other cleaning jobs.

I am the most fastidious person in the world when it comes to cleaning, but when someone gives me a tea stained mug I feel a bit sick.
I just soak mine in boiling hot water for a few mins and then it all wipes off without much effort.
