Clash v Sex Pistols

Sex Pistols were the definitive punk band.

Unique, attitude, great but also shit songs, flawed, fresh, raw, defining look, media circus, short-lived.
The Clash just played some songs.

There will never be a band like the Sex Pistols. That can't be said about The Clash.

Hmmm - both massively over-rated so will have to say (as a cop-out) the Buzzcocks or the Damned since I bought more of their records than the Pistols or the Clash at the time.

They were pretty much the deinfinitive band in my book.

The pistols weren't really a proper band as such - they were a (brilliant) situationist prank.

The Babyshambles and The Libertines I've heard people say. Yea right two perfect examples of why popular music these days is complete shite.
