Being "working class" has as many deciding factors as when people argue over whether or not a football club is big or not. Usually, people acknowledge the factors that back their argument up and pay less attention to those that counter the argument (whether they're arguing for or against someone being defined as working class). Being working class is "cool" and for a lot of people is a positive characteristic, and therefore, many people claim to be working class (in a lot of cases, it's inverse snobbery where people don't like the stigma of being labelled "middle class" in case people think they're stuck up). Employment, education, culture, values and upbringing are all factors that decide whether or not somebody is considered working class or not, and that's as much ammunition for people to argue that people are, or are not, working class, as there is for people to argue that a particular football club is "big" or not...
