Having serious problems with this, meet the minimum spec more than ok but it just keeps freezing up then crashing - this is on a standard sized map. Even the menus just to make your choices at the beginning of the game are seizing up on me and I've set graphics to minimum

Have updated graphics drivers, just downloading patch (v1.52).

Haven't even got as far as the actual game itself - after buggering about trying to click my civ and leader selections between freezes, the computer rebooted when it tried to start the game itself.

If I can't play this, I'm going to cry

OK so I've updated my graphics drivers and am now getting a blue screen with a message telling me that nv4_disp is causing a problem.

apperantly theres yet another patch just come out for it, tried getting it via the ingame update checker and the game crashed...

the bro in law type person has installed two updates - the official one and one by sme russian geezer - that's helped a little, but not, as they say, a lot.
