Cinema classics

I would kill and eat my own wife and pets to be able to see Top Gun at the cinema.

Well then you'll be insanely jealous about the day I had when I was about 10.

My class and another class got invited to a special pre-release screening of Top Gun and Short Circuit, at a private cinema in the West End.

We got the day off school, got bussed down there, got to see one film in the morning and one in the afternoon, got a free McDonalds for lunch, and all we had to do was fill in a sheet about what we thought of each film. And we'd got to see them about six months before everyone else.

That was probably the best day of my entire school years.

A friend of mine, for his 18th birthday, hired out a screen at the local cinema and had them put on Pulp Fiction for us. Obviously we'd all been too young to see it when it first came out, so it was a great experience.

if you're gonna get prints of old films for a film club, you gotta do double bills.
My choice: Brighton Rock and 10 Rillington Place. Moar later.
