he's obviously a northerner. my girlfriend often says 'breadcake'; she means 'a bap'.

it's either bread, or cake, not both
And by bap you mean cob yes? ;)

Ciabatta is being over used everywhere, its nice warmed through filled with roasted red onion, tomatoes and hummus with cold fillings its just wrong, i also like it sliced rubbed with garlic sprinkled with herbs and toasted.

Italian bread products make me laugh, they are always so fucking dry you can hardly eat your sarnie. My mother in nearly law shouted out across Booth's caf the other day (gotta imagine a broad Blackburn accent) 'Michael, get me one of them fock-a-chia's'.
A proper foccacia is far from dry. They have enough oil to be fattening.

It is the places now serving hot dogs in ciabatta that may irk me. Or bacon rolls but that can be mittigated by adding more bacon.

that's just it, the majority of the places serving them sell shit ones. i've had nice ciabatta, but most of them have been dry and nasty. at least you can eat cheap bloomer bread.

Anyone like Ciabatta sandwiches?

Yes. I appreciate their sturdy nature and I reckon make a blinding/but posh fish finger sarnie.

I like plenty of condiments so a sturdy bread is pretty vital. Mmm! Fishfinger sarnies.

I like to use a ciabatta when making my bitching burgers as they need plenty of support and a bog standard bap doesn't cut the mustard - or rather hold up to the mustard, bacon, bbq sauce, cheese and gerkins!
