Chuckle at deranged US conservatives here

They rush through the Rush-list of liberals who hate America, who want her to fail, and I ask them – why are liberals like this? What's their motivation? They stutter to a halt and there is a long, puzzled silence. " It's a good question," one of them, Martha, says finally. I have asked them to peer into the minds of cartoons and they are suddenly, reluctantly confronted with the hollowness of their creation. "There have always been intellectuals who want to tell people how to live," Martha adds, to an almost visible sense of relief. That's it – the intellectuals! They are not like us. Dave changes the subject, to wash away this moment of cognitive dissonance. "The liberals don't believe in the constitution. They don't believe in what the founders wanted – a strong executive," he announces, to nods. A Filipino waiter offers him a top-up of his wine, and he mock-whispers to me, "They all look the same! Can you tell them apart?" I stare out to sea. How long would it take me to drown?
:)

It isn't anything to laugh about. It is US Daily Reality with direct influence and effect on the trigger happy soldier cowboys with in Iraq.

A sweet elderly lady from Los Angeles is sitting on the rocks nearby, telling me dreamily about her son. "Is he your only child?" I ask. "Yes," she says. "Do you have a child back in England?" she asks. No, I say. Her face darkens. "You'd better start," she says. "The Muslims are breeding. Soon, they'll have the whole of Europe."

Of course dear. My father went so far to abduct one of them and forced her to marry him. Obviously with the aim to have me as Front Soldier to fund and organise the Ultimate Take Over of Europe. Watch and be afraid. No land mass or ocean is too wide or to deep for me.

So, you're a European, one of the Park Avenue ladies says, before offering witty commentaries on the cities she's visited. Her companion adds, "I went to Paris, and it was so lovely." Her face darkens: "But then you think – it's surrounded by Muslims." The first lady nods: "They're out there, and they're coming."

We are there dear. We take first your women, next we take your homes and next we take your states.
Burn baby burn.

The ageing historian Bernard Lewis – who was deputed to stiffen Dick Cheney's spine in the run-up to the war – declares, "The election in the US is being seen by [the bin Ladenists] as a victory on a par with the collapse of the Soviet Union. We should be prepared for whatever comes next." This is why the guests paid up to $6,000. This is what they came for. They give him a wheezing, stooping ovation and break for coffee.

Excuse me Bernard, I never particularly liked your utterly biased style - a historian unworthy - but I was always honest and detached enough to still acknowledge your ability to occasionally write something worth mentioning you as Middle East expert.
Seems to me that today you are over-ripe for the elderly home for severely demented. Not of your doing, of course. We can't use brains that aren't there anymore.

That's it – the intellectuals! They are not like us.

And then you didn't even meet a Muslim intellectualist dear. To escape that horror you better start shivering until you die of fear.

For somebody who declares democracy to be his goal, he is remarkably blasé about the fact that 80 per cent of Iraqis want US troops to leave their country, according to the latest polls. "I don't much care," he says, batting the question away. He goes on to insist that "nobody was tortured in Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo" and that Bush is "a hero". He is, like most people on this cruise, certain the administration will attack Iran.

Dear US hero, can you please enlist to go fighting in the frontline? Put first a picture of poster-size on the internet so that relatives of those you are so pleased to have seen murdered can recognise you.

I spot the old lady from the sea looking for her suitcase, and stop to tell her I may have found a solution to her political worries about both Muslims and stem-cells.

"Couldn't they just do experiments on Muslim stem-cells?" I ask. " Hey – that's a great idea!" she laughs, and vanishes.

No need dear. I'm the perfect experiment and I'm breeding.

Would I mail that article to any of the Lunatic Suicidal Recrution Sites, they can add it to their extensive material classyfied as ideal propaganda tool.

salaam.

It does make the point, which I've seen reflected elsewhere on the net, that a large proportion of the US right seem to really think that the whole of Europe is basically being taken over by Muslims and Arabs, is one step away from Sharia law - and the fact that Europeans don't seem to appreciate this is because they've been brainwashed by PC liberals. The whole "Londonistan" thing.

Of course there are plenty of European bigots around to assure them that this is the case.

Yeah cos of course, such reactionary thinking never gets published in newspapers or such discussions happen in the Islamic sphere EVER.

It is a very strange view they hold of Europe.

It combines a couple of their favourite topics. There is the obvious fearmongering about the muslims coming to take you over and put your women in headscarves. It also allows them to rant against self indulgent secularist who out of selfishness are opting to either to not have children or only have one or two.

It is a very bizarre worldview.

Same old right-wing, lack of critical thought, self analysis, compassion and inability to see their own hypocrisy or even worse not care. "Do as we say, not as we do!"

"We know best!"

Authoritarian fuckers.

They're strangely obsesses by breeding in the US.

Maybe it's a cultural hangover from all those Puritans being out-babied by the Catholics or something...

Q. How many Neocons does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A. Neocons don't bother with light bulbs. They declare a War on Darkness and set the house on fire.

Just so you know, the guy on the left with his tongue exposed, was a leader of a national political party; the guy in the striped suit is the federal Minister for Public Safety.

Do you suppose they pattied him on the head and gave him a bone for making them all look so nice and multicultural? That photo creeps me out.

I dunno about a bone: meat is murder.

Maybe a nice melon.
