You mean the first thing that comes to your mind when contemplating the birth of our lord and saviour isn’t a Yorkshire pudding in a sandwich? :hmm:

That looks like a classic example of something that would be really nice if you made it at home but will be a soggy, flabby mess after sitting on a refrigerated supermarket shelf for 6 hours.

Afraid I don't really eat supermarket sandwiches unless no other option available. Will try and make a few :)

I must confess to a deep liking for the "Pret" Xmas sandwich with turkey , stuffing , cranberry etc. (and some of the money goes to charity)

The home made Xmas sarnie on the other hand is a thing of joy. I quite often make an extra nut roast after the big day to go on having festive sandwiches.

Agreed - veg or not - we always have Turkey and home cooked olive oil chips on Boxing Day , and with luck - quality turkey sandwiches for a day or two afterwards. With salad and Cranberry of course.

Any left over stuffing is an absolute bonus.....(I always make loads for this eventuality)

Is the soya that weird grey stuff in the middle? It looks grim. :(

Anyway, I hate xmas sarnies - they can fuck right off.

I had a Big Beef for my lunch today. The addition of a yorkshire pudding was unnecessary, and made the whole thing too stodgy. It was a little bland too, and the whole thing could have benefitted from some extra sauce - horseradish or chutney perhaps?

Just as I thought! Would be awesome cobbled together in your own kitchen but foul from a supermarket shelf.

There's a giant unrefrigerated warehouse somewhere full of millions of xmas sarnies that need shifting, so the shops need to stock them early before they start to go off. :(
