I used to hate Christmas. As a kid it was never that enjoyable due to weird family. When I was 18 I started going out with someone whos parents were very traditionally English so every year would be total stressed with having a turkey ready by 1pm, in Australia FFS it was often 35+ degrees outside. Over time we managed to convince his mum that a bbq/seafood buffet/loads of champers was better which totally turned it around for me. Had varying Christmas's since then, some totally drug fucked (after the turkey of course) and now I go to my best mates mums house in Cheshire, just the 3 of us v chilled nice food, bit of wine but not too much, loads of sleep, brilliant.
