Does turkey taste like chicken?
I'm trying to introduce meat into my diet again but struggling.

Yes its quite like chicken - blander if that's possible. Its very healthy though and versatile.

Thought the major components of his operation were in Suffolk? Around Diss, where the outbreaks were - in one of his factories!

No doubt there will be Norfolk birds in there too.

I always have xmas at home with the kids and several friends, one of them usually provides the meat but i have been asked to get the meat this year.
I dont eat it as im vegetarian but the kids and friends do, is frozen as nice as fresh? a local farm is taking orders too but how does that work? do you just state the size you want or actually pick a bird? i cant choose something with a face for xmas lunch!
And what sort of size do i need for 9 adults and 3 kids?

have you got a local butcher or has he closed down cos not enough people went there, go and talk to him if you have, he is an expert in his field, he will help you and advise you.

there is no need to struggle to introduce meat in your diet, you can remain a veggie if that's easier. and I am a carnivore.

5000 turkeys at christmas is fuck all.

It's enough to make a difference to prices I would've thought. Or for the supermarkets to con people into thinking there's a shortage. People will be panic buying turkeys :D

5000 turkeys less will make no difference at all. There are huge buffer stores of frozen turkeys.

not when millions of turkey are eaten at christmas. I also disbelieve these shocks headlines in the standard about turkeys costing #100 at christmas! for god's sake we're talking turkeys, not gold!

I avoid turkey, anyway. it's bland and boring, especially after a week of turkey sarnies.

We haven't had turkey for years so this year we decided to have it again. I feel like it's all my fault :o

Well i went back to the farm earlier and ordered a 14lb turkey, but noticed that all the turkeys that were walking around yesterday have gone  they wouldnt be preparing them already will they?
