Is it very different from a standard chocolate cake?

Does the betroot just add moistness or is there a marked difference in the flavour?

It's for my daughter's birthday cake, so not a time to experiment if it's at all possible that they'll complain about the flavour!

It WILL be a secret ingredient, although not to the girl (she's helping to make it, so I'm not sure I can hide it, but anyway she LIKES beetroot and is hopefully still too young to imagine that some combinations of food might be considered 'wrong'.
