I think people need to differentiate between Chinese-run fish and chip shops, which tend to be amongst the best in London, and chips from a takeaway restaurant otherwise dedicated to Chinese food, which tend to be shite.

I see. I've never had Chinese run fish and chips myself. There are a few in Manchester.
