from what you said about yrself miss giggles i doubt you will like it much...but yeah it is good to experience all of what life has to offer
this is not an attack on people who enjoy/have a laugh these nights, a close freind was a club host in mayfair for many years and didnt share the values of the people he worked for, some people can be around awful people and not let it get to them, can even laugh at it..
you can make a deal with yr mate who is so up for these type of scenes...
that she will accompany you to an event that isnt her thing..thats what freinds are for..you endure china white, she endures a trad folk club or a fancy rat breeders exhibtion(just examples
i went to a few places like these about 4 years ago when 2 friends of mine were PR-ing for steve strange
they were both convinced his book was gonna be a bestseller

its a good thing steve has went back to wales cos this bullshit media scene wasnt doing his health any good, also i think he took himself and his fame SERIOUSLY which you cant do in that type of environment
overall i found the whole thing VERY superficial/false/unpleasant and yes even loads of gratis champagne didnt make me enjoy these nites much,
i esp felt embarrassed onetime when our party sat behind velvet ropes and there were aquantances of mine in the "pleb section" there to promote their gig looking at me with envy
i just dont like clubs/bars which have "selective admission" policies..i also am not super keen on glorlification of celebrity and wealth..its not that i like "rough" places either just find it easier to connect with like minded people
who share my anti mainstream values at more alternative /non commercial events
