I say don't take her to the party. Make sure the only "sweets" she ever gets are lumps of dry carrot cake. Never buy her advertised toys just ones ethically produced and made of wood. I trust you don't have a TV in the house, cartoon Network is the slippery slope to wearing cropped tops with suggestive slogans on them.
Alternatively, take her to the party and let her eat her fill. Kids grow out of liking this shit.
they all sat down with their happy meals, all a bit weary of some frog character thing that came free with it (they all agreed it was a "bit scary" ) and within 10 minutes, were all up again running around madly
all, that is except for madge, who was so impressed with having chips, and chicken (i refused to call them nuggest for some reason ) and her own pot of ketchup to dip them in! she finished every last bit! the other mums were saying "oh, isn't she a good eater" whilst i was thinking "yeah, she's never had it before so its still a novelty". she does nto like milkshakes though.
she only left the table when she saw the cake being cut...and bought her bit back to eat
as a pointer, i thought McD's didnt add extra salt to their fries anymore? these were covered in it!
we went to her playgroups christmas party held in a hall yesterday "there might be chips" said madge on the way, all excited....
I would have said something about the salt though. I don't eat salt and have had to say at the chippie 'Sorry they've got salt on them, I can't eat them' if they start to salt them before they ask you.
Bairns shouldn't be getting salt on their chips
take her, but explain to her why macdonalds is bad.
My Mate has broken up with the mum of his child. told he's son (who's five) that nikes are "slave shoes" and the poeple that make them are slaves and exploited .... although I think he explained it in more childish terms.
andyway he went home and said "mummy I don't want to wear my slave shoes any more" and she gave my mate a bollocking
Take her... I'm sure you're a good mum and that one incident won't ruin the hard work that you obviously do. I'm sure she'll be brought up to be very ethical.
I used to beg my mum for macdonalds as a kid and occasionally she's give in. Don't eat the stuff now cos she mainly fed me healty stuff nearly all of the time and I appreciate it now!
