I think I need to go to the tip. There aren't enough wheelie bins in the street.

And, get this. Because I have spent time with her this afternoon I now have to play Cluedo with the boys.

my parents were of the "leave it to fester / occasionally nag me to clear it up myself" school of thought. I certainly don't remember my mum ever cleaning my room or getting the dirty washing etc.

The result? I am still really untidy now, and I'm 33 - but i have always been able to get my washing done on time, due to the "no help, no sympathy" approach i encountered if i failed to put my washing out as a kid.

Hehe My parents were the same and Im the same with my kids. Only every now and again the despair gets too much and I go in and do a mass chuck out/restore a bit of order session
