chelsea v spurs

You can blame me for the result, I jinxed it by briefly fantasising that Spurs could win a cup double this year... That thought was plucked from between my ears as I looked up and saw Shevchenko lining up his shot. :(

was that when the red mist descended and you needed to MAKE LAMPS PAY?!?

Looks like he's wearing girly -- pop? -- socks too, the big jessy.

I'd hope I'd have swung one better than that goon.

I know. It could have been such a great moment.

An opportunity wasted, but good effort.

According to SSN he's been banned for life.

I wouldn't stand for that. You should organise a protest. Fatty was quite clearly inciting the crowd at the end. Apparently he was giving the spurs fans the one fingered salute throughout.

Maybe the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust could get in contact with the FA?

I think all getting their shirts off like a bunch of tarts is asking for someone to run on with an embarrassingly ineffectual air-swing.

I liked the steward at the end best, for some reason tries to grab the guy's legs as he's being carried off and does the worst dive I've ever seen on a football field!

The punch was a bit telegraphed. Punches in bunches is my advice.

If he had thrown a straight left jab followed by another one then a straight right - he could have followed up with a left jab to the ribs - knee to the head and that would be it.

A wild hook was never the answer.

Not that I'm condoning violence...........

.........but hey, it's Chelsea.

Lampard - well - good duck to be fair - but what a woos.

Brian Clough would have taken the bloke out - so would John Prescott.

Perhaps Spurs could sign Navarro to sit in the stands. I hear he might have a few spare months.

He could run on and try to hit someone whenever they lose...

:D

yeah, so do I. they need to realise the possible consequences of their actions.

the guy who ran on was pissed up, he would never have done it if they hadn't been so over the top.

and he's the one who gets a life ban.

honestly, get the THST onto it. They can write a letter to the FA. It's not fair that the Chelsea players' parts in it go completely unpunished. I mean, there was also the kicks and stamps from the chelsea players when the guy was on the floor!

more to the point - the next time that they celebrate like that the results might be much more serious.

if you're going to be an idiot at least land your punch... I would have gone for John Terry, he's an horrible scum bag

If I was him I'd say I was attempting to wave enthusiastically whilst running towards the players to congratulate them as a whole. It stands up better than "I tried to thump him in the face".

Jesus....if Frank Lampard was to hit the fan he would have been in loads of hot water, troubles between the fans would reach a massive high and you'd all no doubt be calling him a 'fat thug' who should be banned from football.

I don't think Frank Lampard can do anything right in other fans eyes. I'll happily take his 20 + goals though.

Has he even got his fist clenched . . . looks like he's pushing through a revolving door or similar.

Just pathetic.

I think he chickened out of throwing a proper punch at the end – he just sort of jumps at Lampard rather than swinging his arm. I'm not sure but I think Drogba may have landed one on him when he went over to "help" the stewards.

With reference to the incident which followed last night's FA Cup replay, we can confirm that two fans entered the field of play, one from each club. The Tottenham Hotspur fan is to receive an immediate life time ban from matches at White Hart Lane and will appear in court during the coming week. Details of the Chelsea supporter have been forwarded to Chelsea Football Club and we believe that they will be taking similar action.

We shall co-operate fully with the FA . The Club considers the safety of supporters and players to be paramount.

- I have no idea what the punishment is for this, but I don't think I'm going to like it. The young man had better keep a low profile for some time to come as I know I'm not the only upset ST holder, and some are considerably more forthright than I am.

i think the spurs bloke did 4 of the 5 things correct that he needed to do to carry out his Lamp Lamps mission

1. jump barrier and evade security. tick
2. run really fast. tick
3. approach player at speed with arms down trying to look like Chelsea fan. tick
4. produce last minute punch towards face. tick
5. connect with face with full power. cross

Lamps did do a good duck, but even if he had not been so quick, it wouldnt of hurt much

ps. Spurs fans are wankers

I don't really understand your point. The lad has been banned for life from his club and is probably facing a bit of bird, all because he had a rush of blood to the head. Why are Tottenham ST holders upset with him?

I hope they get relegated for this and a fine of at least £5 million seems to be in order.
Running on the pitch to attack Frank Lampard is one thing but missing him is another....How wide do you want the player..Would this Spurs fan have missed Fattie Foulkes?
