Well, they took a youth player who was too young to sign a professional contract. With the tapping up of Ronaldo/Berbatov/whoever, well, how do you police that? Real Madrid came out a few years back saying they wanted to sign Kaka and Fabregas, so? Every team wants to sign those players, it depends on the players wanting to leave and the teams agreeing a fee - not the same as this at all.

It is however, going off the top of my head, quite similar to Arsenal's signing of Fabregas.
