Cheesecake advice....

Im planning on making this cheesecake as a birthday gift for Sat...all my other previous cheesecake efforts have ended up in a sloppy mess ...

Ok..I have all cheesecake ingreidients including fresh raspberries. My biscuit base isin the fridge. I will have to do the rest when I return from work in the morning. Im all excited....:)

righto...cake is now in the fridge...and fiigers crossed will not be my usual sloppy mess when I awake in approx 6 hours time...:) and very yummy it is dipping raspberries into the mixture..

havent got round to making mine yet but hopefully will today. no rapsberries though, and slightly less chocolate i think

because i ate the rasberies and a 1/4 of th chocolate already :o

woo hoo...I have the perfect looking cheescake...:D I am giving it as a birthday gift so don't tet know about the taste. I had a bit of a wobble as I did not have baking parchant but the cake came away from the base no problem. I will take a picture too...

I've just made a lemon cheesecake for pudding tomorrow.

And my daughter has now decorated it:

i used choc as topping instead of rasberries. its lush, but very rich. next time i think i'd use less white choc, and maybe fat reduced cheese or cream or mascapone

Nice work Moomoo and feyr....

I am getting orders for the rasp cheesecake! Making mini ones in rammakins is a good idea because you dont get too much and end up feeling queasy :o

That choccy one looks very yummy! :)

Madamv - when you make a raspberry one, do you just have the plain cheesecake and add a few raspberries or can you flavour the cheesecake as well? Just wondering - got some fruit to use up. :)

I did not take a picture of mine but it was very tasty. I plan to make another for a party next weekend but will double up on the biscuit base and allow more time for chilling. Ta very much for providing the recipe Aqua...it was my 1st successful cheesecake.

I put some rasp fruit, whole, onto the base, then added the topping mixture then poked some raspberries through the topping mixture randomly.

or you could blitz it and layer it over the base then add the topping......

<puts on three pounds just thinking about it>

oooo thats a good idea. also it would mean i could make lots different flavour combinations at one go, so wouldnt be as big a waste if they were yuck

omg... I get the horrible feeling I might have to attempt one of these.

How long do they last in the fridge? Or do I have to force it on my neighbours? Heh heh... you know who you are ;)

hmmm the one I made was a f*ckin disaster, looked like somekind of cheesecake massacre.....was a cooked one and think the bint who posted the recipie ( not from here ) was one of those jealous types who wants to keep her cooking secrets secret, the ingredients looked all wrong and it smelt like a lump of cheddar and looked worse....am going to start with one of the ones here, suburb recipies never let me down:)

:D :D :D @DRINK?

I guess it would keep the same as any other cream recipe. I reckon three days, but I may be too cautious/not cautious enough.

Share the love............:D

do you reckon it would freeze? dont think i'm going to get through mine in 3 days! well, maybe :D

Im going for round 2 on the cheesecake...it well received down the pub on Sat so I am doing another for a BBQ on Sat. This time I have increased the biscuit base to 300mg and increased the butter but will keep all else the same. I have in my fridge now...

oh ye of liitle faith...my weather cloud for tomorrow here is a black outline , the merest dropple of rain and sunrays...we will BBQing during the sunray part. If not we can have fun indoors...and we have cake...tis now chilling in the fridge...

Me and badger decoy made a white chocolate cheesecake with blueberries and raspberries for her workmates last week, I didn't get to taste it but I think it looks quite pretty:

And this was the one which I did taste which I made as a trial, not properly following the recipe (used all cream cheese instead on half mascapone, with less cream and less white choc, but apparently the first one had a better consistency.

I made Aqua's cheesecake last year (very nice it was too, ty) and will be doing it again this year.

Rather than mixing in Rum as others have suggested I was thinking of soaking some Raspberries in Rum for a day or two before adding them to the mix, will the Raspberries absorb the Rum and would white be better than dark Rum as it's not as strong tasting?

Phew thought I had lost the recipe!..Making Aqua's cheesecake for a birthday do tomorrow. I got the ingredients yesterday but forgot the cheese. I have also lent someone my springform cake tin so it's going in just a loose bottomed one instead.
