Cheese on Toast

ultimate cheese on toast..

toast the bread on one side.
toast the other side a little bit, place your favourite cheese, sliced on.
place under the grill.
whilst you are doing this, fry some onions and cherry tomatos with some olive oil. to this add some tomato puree, and then some REGGAE REGGAE SAUCE. YES!
take cheese on toast out of the grill and generously cover in your wonderous jerk creation.. heavenly!

** rushes out to make some for sick boyfriend **

Some good ones on here

Mine:

Usually strong cheddar or Red Leicester or a mix of the two
Slice the cheese fairly thick and even (one of these helps a lot
Get the grill nice and hot
I toast the bread about halfway first
Butter the toast and put on a light sprinkle of black pepper if you like pepper
Lay the cheese out evenly and as close to the crust line as you can
You can then add dashes (as required) of Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce on the top
Whack under the grill until the cheese is bubbling
Eat quickly but don't burn yourself.

A former house mate introduced me to the mayonnaise cheese on toast:

Usually strong cheddar or Red Leicester or a mix of the two
Slice the cheese fairly thick and even
Get the grill nice and hot
Toast the bread about halfway first
Butter the toast and then spread it with a layer (as required) of mayonnaise
Put on a light sprinkle of black pepper if you like pepper
Lay the cheese out evenly and as close to the crust line as you can
Whack under the grill until the cheese is bubbling
Eat quickly but don't burn yourself.

Very nice too

just done b) but with grated shallots under the cheese - it's about done now

Toasting the bread on one side is the way forward!!

Try some Djion mustard thinly spread under the cheese - thick slices

onions tomatos/ mushooms on top with some herbs

Or...Mix an egg with grated cheese and a little finely chopped onion

comes out fluffier & lighter... grill till brown

a good mature chedder:p
