Cheese on toast (with a splash of Lea & Perrins)

Toasted granary bread with lashings of salted butter, melted cheddar cheese, and sundried tomato, some olives, mixed herbs and mayo. Mmmm.

Yes, but sliced cheese or grated cheese? It makes a difference you know.

Sliced, you get more :D

Breaking my own 3 ingredient rule I may have just created the greatest cheese on toast ever - I added choppped pepperoni on top of the cheese, then covered the lot with baked beans

It tasted lush :D

Now I always did the sliced bit until the son showed me his grated method - the l&p mixes into the cheese better rather than sitting on the top layer.

His latest is cheese on toast with beans and a hearty sprinkle of smoked paprika

Was with you until you ruined it with all that crap at the end :D

sorry bees!:)

Granary bread, lashings of salted butter, melted cheddar and a dash of worcester sauce.

I like sundried tomatoes and roasted garlic and mayo and stuff on my cheese sandwiches though!

what about a cheese toastie from the *sandwich toaster?* Mmmm.:)

Great minds think alike - I've just had cheese on toast with Henderson's, as it happens. :D With a beer on the side

I was just about to make a lemon cake and then I found this thread, and now I've just put the grill on. Lea & Perrins and a shot of Tabasco.

Yum. :)

Oooh, and if you put very thin slices of onion, they cook really quickly in the cheese.
