Cheap Easy Profitable Cake Recipes For Fundraisers

Rock cakes: No need to decorate, no faffing about with cases, just dollops of mixture onto a tray (line with baking parchment if you're doing more than one batch so you can get them off quickly). It's a rubbed in mixture, but that can be done by machine (if you blitz the fat & flour into crumbs, as you would for pastry or crumble topping).

Colour as wanted, replace the traditional dried fruit with bits of other stuff if preferred.

Rocky road tray bake.

No baking, just melt butter, chocolate and golden syrup and then add broken biscuits, cherries and mini marshmallows. Anything you have really.

Pop in the fridge to harden and then chop up into squares. Kids love them! Grown ups too.

this is easy but it's also quite pricey in terms of ingredients... you'd have to charge loads more money for them and it's schoolkids buying.

comparatively expensive on materials, this kind of thing.

The best and easiest by far are chocolate cornflakes/rice crispy cakes. Take no time at all, are delicious, and cheap!

We get kids going door to door in my street selling home made rice crispie cakes.

Knowing the kids round here though, it's pretty clearly a front for a protection racket. I don't know what happens to people who don't buy a cake but I know I don't wanna find out.

I tend to use basics/value stuff and already have things in my baking cupboard like golden syrup, which I realise some people may not.

I think they should be vaguely quality cakes. Not much good improving yourself by reading a book if you're going to shove a load of junk in your mouth beforehand. At least sell them cakes they would be able to read a book after eating.

It's ketamine, not cake

Last weekend I made 80 cakes and butter iced them in 4 hours. So, someone without loads of practice and equipment is going to need to double that time. But, huge profits and all sold. Kids love icing and chocolate, lemon and vanilla cakes.

Swiss roll is cheap and easy. Google a recipe and see if it could work. Choc Swiss with marshmallow icing inside, vanilla Swiss and jam
