I can't believe the Wurzels are losing!

chas and dave. saw them live in southwark park bandstand last summer and they were surprisingly excellent. played all the hits - rabbit, gertcha, margate, the sideboard song...wicked

Agreed. Saw then at Glastonbury. I could give a fuck about the stereotyping bollocks. They were great live but most importantly was great fun.

Chas n Dave are great live.. I've seen them 3 times..

Despite regularly checking The Wurzels gig list, they don't seem to play East of Shepton Mallett. So never seen them..

Ah Chas and Dave. One of the more popular groups on the working mens' club circuit, particularly in the South. As sure as night follows day, you'd tend to see Chas n Dave, Mike Reid and a 'wacky' dj duo called 'Havoc and Mayhem' twice a season in one of the old socials I used to run.

Still, for all the gimmicky stuff, they can certainly play out. Good professionals and nice geezers - pretty much exactly as you'd expect them to be.

Chas and Dave are accomplished musicians and have an enourmous reportoire. Hear them do a jazz set and weep into your pints. The wurzels are underrated, the songs are actaully very good, they just hammed it up on TOTP too much to be taken seriously. Google any of their song lyrics, have a read and know Im right.

Are Chas and dave doing beutiful days this year?
