Channel 4's new 'adult' channel

Does anyone know what's going on with this adult channel that 4 is advertising at the moment. I keep seeing blipverts for it on 4, but i can't find out any info on it.
Is it going to be 'proper' (crap) porn or channel 4's arthouse porn for Guardian readers? Or is it just the way they are marketing it at us...playing on the dirty mind...to make us think it's going to be a porn channel but it's actually going to be something completely different? it Is it going to be a subscription service like film 4?
Just curious like....not that i'm into porn or anything :p :D

Or will it be like the BBC soap Elderado, which was advertised as porn, but which was really a crap 5th-rate soap...

I'm looking forward to the launch of this. It's there on my telly, channel 13, but it's just a test pattern with "Channel 4 London" across it. When's it starting properly?

Richard and Judy can shove their wine club, though. From the More 4 trailer I've seen, it wouldn't fit in anywhere on this channel. And why would anyone want to watch people drinking wine on the telly anyway?

1. Blipverts are a fictional thing from 20 Minutes Into the Future. What you are seeing are called 'teasers'. Cos they 'tease' you into asking questions about the unknown product. And make everyone in advertising laugh at you for paying attention :p

2. Any channel that repeats loads of cool US TV shows and potentially is gonna repeat C4 stuff from when it was good.

3. If C4 gets it's way then it WILL be part paid for by the licence fee in the future...

I spilt a whole glass of Shiraz Cabernet down Richard's shirt at the launch of their wine club - he shouldn't have been standing in front of an out opening door.

Did he try and nick it off you?

actually, sarky comments aside, the combined pull of BBC4 and More4 might be enough to persuade me that freeview would improve the overall quality of my television viewing.

we don't have freeview and can't have unless we get our landlord to fit a roof ariel. wanna guess how likely that is?!

Do I detect a *hint*?

:D;p

We need a new tele. The one we have at the moment is my parents first colour tele bought back in the early '70s. Fucking good tele though, Sony, still works fine. Even has wondeful wooden panneling :D

Just lacks a remote (as in not lost but a lack of technology for it), standard headphone socket and the ability to plug any sort of VCR, DVD, Freeview thingy into. It also has a wondefully quaint button system for the channels labelled BBC-1, BBC-2, ITV-1, ITV-2. They are clear buttons and when you press them in a little green label comes into view :D

It is a grand thing but I think it has had it's day.
