  1. William of Walworth

I agree -- too low by far.

Another unrelated scandal -- The Kinks' absence from the chart -- I would not have said, a decade or more ago, that they were far better than the Beatles , but now I would say that ...

Good list. All oif those I have except for the Libertines ...

Sack the Oasis albums and you're sorted (mind you I've got both of em too, difference is, probably, that I thought they were shit within a year of buying them ... )

Nice to know a Scum fan can appreciate music!!! ;) :D :p

  3. Hollis

    Hollis Bloody furious

Yeah.. I noticed that when I saw them live.. anyway I have 25 of that lot.. is that a good or bad thing?

Early Police, no problem. My favourite is 'I can't I can't I can't stand losing you'

    Later stuff = shite.

  7. nathansears

    nathansears Don't sell my monkey

Didn't see the programme, not surprised at the results really considering it was a public vote. Bored with these list things now, they don't prove anything other than most people have a fairly shite taste in music IMO.
I think I had about 9 of the 100 which is quite a relief really, I wonder what our reactions would be if all our favourites were in the top ten? Personally I would top myself.

  8. Firky

Firky The first of the gang Banned

I can't quite see why some of you are so elitist and fucking puerile - my bands better than yours..... please

  9. exosculate

  14. Flavour

    Flavour hang the bankers

Right let's just do this the old fashioned way. BEST ALBUM EVER. no top 100 shit. get ed to set up special Pm account with loads of space for nominations, everyone gets to pick 5 albums, one with most nominations wins full stop.

    Dubversion Gorn Enforced Holiday

    why not just a thread?

  17. Groucho

    Groucho Wrapped in plastic

But it's London Calling. All other nominations are just subjective bollocks, individual taste, passing fad, point of view, misguided due to poorly wired ears or othersuch nonesuch. London Calling is the only right answer. You are free to debate the other 99... :p

  18. Flavour

    Flavour hang the bankers

    shut the fuck up.

  19. Groucho

    Groucho Wrapped in plastic

    Just making two points.

    1. That any judgement as to the 'best' album is always going to reflect subjective opinion.

    2, It's London Calling.

  20. rorymac

    1. Can't argue with that

  23. William of Walworth

    William of Walworth Festographer

Have already hinted this ... its a public vote, with a reasonable proportion of clasics featuring in the list anyway.

  24. William of Walworth

    William of Walworth Festographer

    1. Agree :)
    2. Excellent album  but I'm one of those weirdos who prefers Black Market Clash (or possibly even Sandanista! Not joking).

  26. belboid

    belboid TUC Off Your Knees

nonsense, there are plenty of objective criteria you can include. Important ones being things like, does the artist share their initials with those of the son of god? Does the recording deal with the deep themes of love death and the poll tax? Does it have a proper gatefold sleeve, AND some bad poetry inside?

nope, doesn't meet any of my criteria so it cant be!

  27. akirajoel

    akirajoel well read

what album does meet that criteria?

  28. butchersapron
