The fall in the price of oil is not because the markets don't like the peaceful solution that is promised. It is just a return to more normal prices after them going up in the aftermath of the original incident and the talk of war.
The West needs that oil. In fact we need it so much that it will in the end be necessary for us to concede to Iran the building of nuclear power stations so that they don't have to use up more of the oil for their own energy requirements and can sell it to us.
While we go over to increasing use of nuclear power to create electricity for our own energy needs in the production of electricity and the rest of the world does the same, driven ostensibly by 'green' concerns then there may come a time when Australia becomes the major supplier of energy to the world. Will we threaten them with military force to make them deal with us, I think not. They have the uranium.
